Geriatrics is an ever growing population within the NOVA region that requires innovative response measures. The development of large-scale residential communities that tailor to independent and assisted living pose a new challenge to EMS response time and scalability of county resources. AEC-MTRR has the capabilities to be an onsite EMS response team that can provide faster medical care and greatly improve patient outcomes.

Unique abilities of this kind of in-community medical response team includes; providers with intimate knowledge of layout and floor plans, continuation of care between EMS providers and resident PCP’s, and a daily involvement with resident and community life that fosters.
